Teamwork in Dorset

The planing team at Tripod Crest has earned plaudits from both Hanson and Dorset County Council for its part in a recently completed £22million maintenance scheme involving the A338 in Bournemouth.

The contract involved the reconstruction of 9km of existing carriageway and the upgrade of other highway assets as part of the Bournemouth International Growth (BIG) Programme using funding allocated under the Dorset Local Enterprise Partnerships with a view to improving the infrastructure around Bournemouth Airport, Bournemouth town centre and the wider road network.

All the planing work, which involved 70,000 tonnes of asphalt, was undertaken under the stewardship of Tripod Crest’s Dave Smith.
