Operatives simply wear the micro-guard device on their belts or around their necks. It will detect a fall, or a total lack of movement, and raise the alarm accordingly. There is a panic call button too – with the facility for operatives to speak to the control centre. If there is no response, colleagues will be contacted and as the system has GPS too, the individual can be located in an emergency.
Tripod Crest managing director, Darren Stokes, commented that: “The safety of our operatives is our number one priority and so we are really pleased to have found this solution for lone workers.”
