Tripod team tough it out for charity

A Northampton fundraising team showed they’re anything but stick in the muds when they took on a run with a difference for charity.

The team of four, from Tripod Crest, pushed themselves to the limit to complete Tough Mudder- a notoriously difficult obstacle race- and raise almost £2,000 for Cancer Research UK.

Managing director Darren Stokes, who took part alongside Jo Salmon, Jake Hankins and Tony Noble, said: “It was really hard, but amazing fun.

“Everyone was covered in mud, and totally exhausted by the end, but it was an unforgettable experience.

“It’s for a great cause so we’re calling on people to donate to the charity.”

Together they negotiated hill climbs, rope climbs, zip wires, pools of water and lots of mud before crossing the finish line.

So far their exploits have raised £1,795.00.
