The vehicles feature Scania G450CB6 x 2MHZ CG19 highline cabs with a 450hp engine, coupled to a 12-speed GRS905 gearbox using Opticruise power shift.

The bodywork, supplied by Wilcox Commercials Vehicles Ltd of Market Deeping, includes a specialist all alloy tipping body, complete with water tank and pump.  Each cab has full Draw-Bar VBG coupling and, with safety a high priority, the latest 4-way DVR all round camera system with cyclist protection.

The vehicles have been customised to the Tripod Crest specialist operation and will be coupled to draw-bar trailers to complete the outfit.  Driver comfort is very important for the long distance and long hour operations that are undertaken.  Therefore, the cabs are also equipped with twin bunks, microwave oven, refrigerator, air conditioning and excellent storage for all the driver’s equipment.
