The CECA Midlands Council, of which Tripod Crest’s Jo Salmon is a member, has now opened its 2017 awards looking for the best talent and greatest projects from the civil engineering contractors it represents.
The regional team is accepting entries from CECA members for:
Project of the Year 2016/2017: looking for a project completed in the last 12 months (up to 31st August 2017) which demonstrates a collaborative approach throughout the supply chain, use of innovative materials or services, efficiency savings achieved, with demonstrable environmental benefits and community involvement.
Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Company award: Looking to award those with high performing safety and environment performance, significant achievements through proactive behaviours and who can demonstrate the use of innovative solutions and efficient processes that focus on wellbeing and improvements to employee welfare.
Additionally, there will be a £250 prize to be awarded to the winning entry for:
Most promising apprentice: looking for an apprentice who is currently undertaking (or has completed during the last 12 months) an intermediate, advanced, higher or specialist apprenticeship programme and is employed by a member of CECA Midlands in the civil engineering contracting industry.
Outstanding individual contribution to the industry award: is open to any employee, other than an apprentice or trainee civil engineer, employed in any capacity by a CECA Midlands member who demonstrates a valued or outstanding contribution within the civil engineering industry, particularly in the midlands.
Member companies are invited to submit entries for one or more categories.
The judging panel will comprise of both members of CECA Midlands and external specialist individuals together with the chair of CECA Midlands and the director.
The closing date is 1st September 2017 for all awards. The winners will then be announced at the Midlands Annual Dinner at The Burlington Hotel, Birmingham on 12th October 2017.
