Initially, he started at Tripod Crest as a machine operator, then after eight months’ he went on the company’s operative training course. It was here that he realised the workshop was where he felt he could really develop. Manager Steve Cooper facilitated the move and now, after a three month trial, Jake is on an apprenticeship scheme with the intention of becoming a qualified plant fitter.
“I have been given a great opportunity by Tripod Crest and am really enjoying learning all about the workshop. The job is ideal for me – with loads of potential. Most of my time is spent in the workshop, but I will also go out to site as a plant fitter. Apart from all the practical training, I am learning from the senior team and really appreciate the time they give me in terms of feedback and encouragement.”
Investing in skilled operatives like Jake is a top priority for Tripod Crest – ensuring that the team delivers a quality service with commitment and enthusiasm.
