Highways UK was Tripod Crest’s first ever attendance at an exhibition for the highways and infrastructure sector and, according to group operations director Daniel Morgan, it was well worth the investment.

Tripod Crest has been an integrated delivery partner for Dorset County Council through their Dorset Highway Operation, working collaboratively with the Council’s Highways and Engineering staff and Hanson Contracting to plan and deliver a range of maintenance schemes across the Dorset region.

Tripod Crest operates a comprehensive Low Loader Movement service that holds the registrations and accreditations to move operated plant and loads.

As part of Tripod Crest’s ambitious plans for growth, the business will be making its debut at the Highways UK exhibition at the NEC on Wednesday 16th and Thursday 17th November.

Tripod Crest has invested in three new Volvo FH tractor units to assist with the increasing demand for transporting pavers, rollers and asphalt planing equipment. Some of this kit weighs in excess of 38 tonnes so it is vital to have an appropriate fleet.

Tripod Crest’s apprenticeship scheme is working for everyone – the company, customers and the apprentices themselves. Jake Hankins and Tom Astle are both enjoying being in a busy engineering environment and learning a huge amount along the way – both from their on the job experience and college courses.
